Cassper Nyovest found himself at the centre of social media chatter after X users dug up an old tweet from 2014 in which he posted a photo of himself and captioned it, “Young Diddy. #GoldenBoy.”

The resurfaced post quickly sparked backlash as users revisited it in light of the controversies currently surrounding American music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. Many urged Cassper to delete the tweet, while others used the moment to mock him.

Cassper, however, made it clear he wasn’t backing down.

In a fiery response, the rapper clapped back at critics, writing:

“Bathi I should delete this tweet!!! Hahaha y’all are crazy thinking y’all can bully everyone or threaten them. 11 years ago none of us, including you idiots knew what Diddy was doing. So cancel me, do whatever !!! Nna ha ke sbaye sa lona julle Vuil pops!!!! Almal van julle!!!”

His reply instantly went viral, with fans and critics weighing in on whether the rapper was justified in his reaction.
