Singer and reality TV star Kelly Khumalo recently sparked conversation online after sharing her thoughts on polygamous marriages.

A video of Khumalo discussing the topic was widely shared on social media on Sunday, 14 December 2025, prompting mixed reactions from fans.

In the clip, Khumalo expressed strong opinions about women in polygamous unions, saying they often face the same challenges as single mothers.

“Women who have children in polygamous marriages are the same as single mothers because their husbands have to attend to five or six other women before they can attend to them and their children,” she said.

The musician went on to suggest that single mothers might be better positioned emotionally, as they have accepted their circumstances, whereas mothers in polygamous relationships are still in denial about the challenges they face.

Khahumalo’s comments come amid public interest in her personal life, especially following revelations about her pregnancy with twins and her family’s experiences with polygamy.

Some fans speculated that her remarks could be a subtle reference to her sister Zandie Khumalo, who recently welcomed her husband’s second wife into their family.
