Mohale Motaung shades ex-lover Somizi over Makhadzi’s SAMA 31 dress
Mohale Motaung has set social media buzzing after appearing to throw subtle shade at his ex-husband, Somizi Mhlongo, following praise for the designer’s work at the 31st South African Music Awards.
The moment unfolded after Makhadzi shared a gratitude post celebrating Somizi, who designed her dramatic white gown for SAMA 31. While fans applauded the collaboration, Mohale seemingly reacted with a sarcastic video of a woman enthusiastically praising her fashion designer.
Social media users were quick to read between the lines, with many agreeing that Mohale was deliberately shading the media personality-turned-fashion designer.
One user joked, “I can smell the shade coming from this tweet 😭,” while others filled the comment section with memes, laughing at what they described as obvious sarcasm.
The conversation escalated further when controversial commentator Nota Baloyi weighed in, commenting, “Maybe you should warn @MakhadziSA that tax troubles always follow your ex’s friends…”
His remark added fuel to an already heated discussion.
