Young Stunna sidelined after knee injury forces him to cancel December shows

Amapiano star Young Stunna has been forced to pause his busy December run after suffering a leg injury that will keep him off the stage while he recovers.

The award-winning hitmaker, born Sandile Msimango, revealed on social media that he injured his knee during an incident in East London on December 15.

In his post, the Adiwele vocalist blamed what he described as “unprofessional and negligent conduct” by a local promoter for the incident, adding that he is currently receiving medical attention.

“Due to an incident resulting from unprofessional and negligent conduct by an East London promoter on December 15, I sustained an injury to my knee and am currently seeking medical attention,” Young Stunna shared with fans.

As a result of the injury, the singer confirmed that he will be unable to honour several performances that were scheduled for later this month.

The cancellations affect shows at venues including Gillian Ngoyi Stadium in Secunda, Vosloorus Stadium, Hurricane Lifestyle in Katlehong, Vkulee501 & Skroef28 Homecoming in KwaLichaba, Soweto, CSA Showground in Potchefstroom, and Kroonpark Holiday Resort in Kroonstad.

Young Stunna issued a heartfelt apology to everyone affected by the sudden changes, particularly his supporters who had been looking forward to seeing him perform.

“I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to event organisers, their sponsors, and most importantly, my supporters,” he said.

“Your understanding and continued support is greatly appreciated.”

Despite the setback, the amapiano favourite reassured fans that his team is already working on rescheduling the affected gigs and that he plans to make it up to them once he has fully recovered.

“I look forward to making it up to you soon,” he added. “Thank you for your patience, love and unwavering support.”
