Babes Wodumo has paid a heartfelt tribute to her late husband, Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo, marking three years since his passing with an emotional social media post that touched many fans.
The Gqom star shared a video clip from Mampintsha’s memorial service, showing herself speaking during the ceremony.
In the caption, Babes opened up about the pain that resurfaces every year as the anniversary of his death approaches, while also acknowledging the strength she has gained over time.
“Today marks 3 years wangishiya @mampintsha_shimora myeni wami🥹 Mase kusondele lolu suku kuvele kubuye konke,” she wrote, explaining that the memories and emotions return each time the date draws near.
Babes added that God had been kind to her, giving her the courage to speak about her husband openly, even though the pain remains.
She admitted that writing the message brought her to tears, saying the hurt is still there, but so is the strength.
Babes went on to thank Mampintsha for the life they shared, describing him as her pillar and the man who stood firmly by her side.
“Ngiya bonga myeni wami❤️ Kwabanye ubuyi blesser 😂 Kodwa kimi ubuwu bambo lwami impela,” she wrote, highlighting how the late musician may have been seen as a “blesser” by others, but was her true support system.
