Prince Kaybee says his mother died due to being overweight, urges people to “eat less”

Prince Kaybee reveals the cause of his mother’s death
Musician and producer Prince Kaybee has opened up about a deeply personal loss, revealing that his late mother’s health struggles have shaped his views on weight, ageing and physical well-being.
The artist, who is known for his disciplined gym routine and frequent fitness-related posts, sparked debate on social media after sharing his thoughts on how weight gain can affect the body over time.
He stressed that his comments were not meant to attack or shame anyone.
“Your joints get weaker as you age, doesn’t help if you gain weight as you age, you risk not being able to carry yourself,” he wrote.
Anticipating criticism, Prince Kaybee clarified his intentions, saying, “This is not a headshot for people struggling with weight, I’m just sharing information that might help.” He ended the post with the words, “Eat less.”
As reactions poured in, the producer followed up with an emotional explanation, revealing that his comments were rooted in personal pain rather than judgment.
“By the way my mother died because she was overweight, all her joints were gone,” he shared.
He explained that the most severe damage was to her spine, which eventually left her unable to walk.
“What was severe was her intervertebral discs, they were damaged to a point she couldn’t walk. She died a week before her surgery to try mitigate the pain,” he wrote, adding that “her spine from the X-ray looked horrible 💔”, he added.
Prince Kaybee acknowledged that there were other medical complications involved, but believes weight played a significant role in her decline.
“There were other complications but I believe if she was not overweight we could’ve saved her❤️,” he said.
