Beverley Steyn accuses Nonku Williams of owing her money
What once looked like a close friendship between The Real Housewives stars Beverley Steyn and Nonku Williams has unravelled publicly, with accusations of unpaid money now taking centre stage.
Months after the pair proudly showed off their bond on social media, Beverley shocked followers by posting a video online with the caption: “Part 1 … you owe me money.”
In the clip, she made it clear she was done pretending everything was fine between them.
According to Beverley, she allegedly lent Nonku a substantial amount of money under a signed agreement, but claims the reality star failed to repay it by the agreed deadline.
Visibly emotional, Beverley said she had been protecting Nonku’s image for far too long.
“I’m creating a narrative to protect your image when people ask me what’s going on between the two of us. Whatever happens between the two of us comes to light and I’m done,” she said.
“I’m done allowing you to betray me. I’m done with allowing you to use me. And I’m done covering up your shame. I’m also done allowing you to behave like the victim in all of this. I’m creating a narrative to protect your image. I’m just done.”
When some fans questioned why she would lend a friend such a large sum of money, Beverley defended her decision, saying it came from a place of compassion.
“If your friends beg you because [the] bank is going to repossess [her] house and [her] kids can’t go back to school because [their] fees aren’t paid, you’re going to say no?” she responded.
