DJ Jaivane praised after paying out R500k royalties to collaborators
Amapiano star DJ Jaivane has won over fans and fellow musicians after publicly confirming that he has paid royalties to artists and producers he has worked with.
The producer shared the update on Instagram, revealing that payments were processed through his label, Sibonge Simnandi Records, to ensure everyone involved in his projects received their fair share.
Posting under the caption “Royalties Payouts,” DJ Jaivane disclosed that producer De Rose earned R500,000 in royalties from the success of their hit song Lutho.
Other collaborators also benefited from the payout, including vocalist Russell Zuma, who received his share from projects they worked on together.
While DJ Jaivane did not disclose exact figures for all artists, he made it clear that the payouts were handled officially through his label.
Sharing the moment with pride, the DJ simply added, “Sibonge Simnandi Records,” a statement that many interpreted as a sign of accountability and commitment to doing right by his collaborators.
The announcement was met with widespread praise online, with fans applauding DJ Jaivane for setting an example in an industry frequently plagued by disputes over royalties and unpaid artists.
