Musa Khawula faces fresh legal storm after defamatory claims about PIC executives

Controversial blogger Musa Khawula is reportedly staring down another legal battle after failing to retract explosive allegations about senior executives at the Public Investment Corporation (PIC).
According to Daily Sun, Khawula was served with a letter of demand following a series of posts in which he accused the PIC’s Chief Investment Officer, Kabelo Rikhotso, of engaging in an affair with colleague Lindiwe Dlamini.
In the now-viral X post dated Monday, 16 February 2026, the self-styled “Pope of Pop Culture” went further, alleging that the two, whom he referred to as “work husband” and “work wife”, were cheating on one another.
“Meet Lindiwe Dlamini, who done dated and discarded her husband for Kabelo Rikhotso. Lindiwe Dlamini is cheating on her ‘work’ husband whilst Kabelo Rikhotso is cheating on his ‘work’ wife at the Public Investment Corporation,” Khawula wrote.
The claims were swiftly rejected by the pair’s legal representatives, who described the allegations as defamatory and baseless, arguing that Khawula had presented no evidence to substantiate his statements.
He was instructed to delete the posts and any related commentary by 17 February, but the content reportedly remained online past the deadline.
With the posts continuing to circulate widely, the matter has escalated. Reports indicate that DM5 Incorporated, acting on behalf of Dlamini, Rikhotso, and the PIC, has been instructed to pursue an urgent interdict against the blogger.
The legal team is also said to be seeking imprisonment should he refuse to comply with the demand.
