Miss South Africa 2026 sets entry date and promises a bold new era

Miss SA announces entry date for contestants

The Miss South Africa organisation has officially set the tone for its 2026 edition, signalling a shift in direction with a strong emphasis on leadership, empowerment and social impact.

In a recent social media announcement, the pageant described the upcoming season as “a new era,” positioning the competition as more than just a platform for beauty, but one aimed at shaping influential voices and change-makers.

“A new era begins ✨ Miss South Africa 2026 is not just a stage, it’s a movement for leadership, empowerment, and real social impact,” the organisation shared.

Central to this renewed vision is its partnership with Empower Youth Africa (EYA), which will play a key role in extending the pageant’s reach beyond the runway. According to the announcement, the initiative is designed to drive meaningful change in communities across South Africa and the broader continent.

The organisation also confirmed that entries for Miss South Africa 2026 will officially open on 28 April and close on 17 May 2026, inviting young women who are passionate about making a difference to step forward.

“Through Empower Youth Africa (EYA), this journey goes beyond the crown, driving meaningful change in communities across the country and continent,” the statement continued.

With the call for entries now set, aspiring contestants have been encouraged to prepare for a competition that promises to focus not only on personal ambition, but also on purpose-driven leadership.

“Are you ready to lead, serve, and make an impact?” the post concluded, teasing more details to follow in the coming weeks.
