Chymamusique cries out as his music vanishes from streaming platforms

Chymamusique’s music removed from all streaming platforms

South African DJ and producer Chymamusique has sparked concern after claiming his music was removed from streaming platforms.

Taking to X, the artist expressed frustration and disbelief, writing: “I’m experiencing abuse of power. How can my 16 years of hard work be taken off the music platforms… just because I’m not signed under any major label then my work gets erased.”

He added an emotional apology to fans who support his music, saying he would do everything possible to restore his catalogue.

The tweet quickly gained traction, drawing reactions from fans who speculated about possible industry pressure.

One user suggested that a record label might be trying to force him into a deal, asking if he had been approached to sign.

Chymamusique appeared to confirm this, replying: “Yes I received proposals and I kept saying NO, maybe that’s the problem for them.”

He further expressed disappointment at how the situation unfolded, adding: “They didn’t wait until I’m gone, they removed the music while I’m still alive.”

The controversy comes months after the DJ survived a near-fatal accident, making the situation even more emotional for fans who have followed his journey.

Many have since rallied behind him, urging him to fight back and regain control of his work, while raising broader concerns about power dynamics within the music industry.
