Award-winning composer Lebo M has finally lifted the lid on his long-standing fallout with veteran broadcaster Robert Marawa.

Speaking during a candid appearance on Podcast and Chill, the legendary producer traced the roots of their feud to claims made in Marawa’s memoir, Gqimm Shelele: The Robert Marawa Story.

According to Lebo, the situation escalated after Marawa allegedly suggested that he and actress-singer Zoe Mthiyane had attempted to extort money from him.

“There’s no way I would have said anything had Robert Marawa not said some BS about me in his biography. He opened a flood,” Lebo M said during the interview.

The composer explained that he felt compelled to respond publicly to protect his reputation and his family, especially his daughter.

“If I drop dead, and I don’t address this, my daughter is going to be humiliated by your son, thinking that I Lebo M, tried to extort 30 grand. So, I have to address this thing,” he added.

Lebo M went further, alleging that he had stepped in financially to support Marawa’s son before legal action was taken.

He claimed the situation only changed after Mthiyane pursued maintenance through the courts, accusing Marawa of neglect prior to that.

The interview took an even more heated turn when Lebo M, visibly emotional, directly addressed Marawa with a stern warning, demanding that he correct the claims made about him.

“You will respect my child’s future. You will respect your son’s future. You will correct this nonsense, punk ahh,” he said, looking straight into the camera.
