Former Miss SA, Demi-Leigh celebrates her 27th birthday by raising funds to help children.
Prior her birthday, the former Miss Universe urged her fans and friends to contribute to the project and she returned to social media to announce that she’s raised $180k.
Feeling so inspired walking into my 27th year! Just wanted to give a big thank you for all the birthday wishes and support towards my birthday fundraiser. So far, we’ve raised over $180,000 and we truly could not have done it without all of you. We set out to raise enough to bring healing to 80 children and because of you, our mission is possible. Our mission is hopeful,” she wrote.
Demi revealed her passion for the passion and further thanked people for the support.
“I’m so passionate about this cause, especially after meeting so many of these kids face to face, and I am so incredibly grateful that all of you have been inspired to make a difference in the lives of these special children too. I believe that every single person is made in the image of God, and every person is made with a specific purpose. Because of this, rescuing even one more child makes it all worth it. So thank you from the bottom of my heart for donating, sharing, and even praying over this fundraiser because these children deserve to know that they are worthy, valuable and loved too.”
