Veteran actor Vusi Thanda is best known for his roles on the SABC 1 sitcom Emzini Wezinsizwa and The Queen.
Thanda left South Africans heartbroken after a video of him went viral on Twitter on Thursday 22 September.
The 71-year-old actor asked Mzansi to open their hearts and donate money to him.
Pearl Thusi feels really heartbroken after seeing the video.
She took to her Instagram to repost it and expresses sadness after seeing such a great talent come online to ask for help.
She then urge her fellow artists to come together and fight.
Pearl wrote: “This is so heartbreaking… artists who have inspired and entertained us for many years are now on their knees asking for help. Please let’s help… Swipe for clearer visual of his details. What’s cruel is how the SABC continues to undercut artists as they continue to make money “in perpetuity” and what’s worse is how artists can’t come together and fight this because we’re so divided… things need to change.”
