Khaya Mthethwa doesn’t need an album to validate himself.
The South African gospel musician made this known in a post shared on Facebook.
Mthethwa says he’s grown past the age of seeking validation through awards.
“I’ve worked hard over the years – proved myself and really done what resonates with my heart and purpose to worry or be validated by awards! I’m too old,” he wrote.
Khaya’s followers applauded him for knowing his worth.
“So true at the end of the day, the reason behind Gospel Music isn’t to gain awards. There’s a greater award. The most precious one…..” well done my good and faithful servant,” a comment reads.
Meanwhile, the singer just dropped an album that most of his fans appreciate.
