South African rapper Reason, also known as Sizwe Alakine, recently shared a deeply personal story about the loss of his son, who had cerebral palsy.
In a heartfelt interview on Zingah’s podcast, Reason opened up about the pain and challenges faced.
Cerebral palsy is a neurological disorder affecting movement, muscle tone, and motor skills, often leading to various physical challenges.
Reason’s son was diagnosed with the condition shortly after birth, which meant the family had to navigate a complex world of medical treatments, therapy, and caregiving.
Speaking to Zingah, Sizwe Alakine said the death of his son pained him deeply, and it hit nerves when the casket dropped.
“When you standing in that grave and the casket drops – you need n•ggas,” he said.
