Nkosazana Daughter and Master KG’s joint album reaches gold before it was officially released
Master KG and Nkosazana Daughter have successfully cooked up a hit with their joint project, Makhelwane.
The album sparked excitement among fans since it was announced weeks ago, and it finally dropped this Friday.
According to Slikour, the album garnered a laudable success even before it was released.
During the album listening party, the musicians were presented with a plaque as the album reached gold before its official release.
“@nkosazana_daughter & @masterkgsa’s new album ‘Makhelwane’ reached gold status before its official release today,” Slikour captioned the post.
However, social media users refused to believe the news, as it seemed impossible.
“Ja I am going to act dumb here and also ask how. Can you clarify “before it’s official release” part, before we make all sorts of assumptions. For the record let’s table the Maths: Gold Album = 10,000 Units. 1 Units = 1,200 Streams. Therefore Gold: 10,000 x 1,200 Streams = 12,000,000 Streams. So this album had 12mil streams “before it’s official release” and the plagues were ready already,” a comment reads.
“What in the payola world is going on here 🤔. Uneducate my laymanship asseblief toe,” a follower wrote.
