R Kelly denies taking advantage of his daughter
Buku Abi, daughter of the famous singer revealed in a two-part documentary titled R. Kelly’s Karma that when she was just a child, he sexually abused her.
The 26-year-old claimed in the second episode of the documentary that the alleged incident took place when she was between the ages of 8 and 9.
“I just remember waking up to him touching him,” she said while tears welled down her face. “I didn’t know what to do, so I just laid there and pretended to be asleep. From that moment on, I became a different person,” she recalled.
“I was too scared to even tell my mom,” she said.
However, Kelly denied the allegations.
“His ex-wife made the same allegations many years ago, and the allegations were investigated, but nothing came of it,” the singer’s lawyer said in the statement.
Meanwhile, the singer remains behind bars after he was convicted of racketeering and sex trafficking.
He is serving a 30-year sentence.
