Sjava offers to serenade fans’ girlfriends on Valentine’s Day

South African music star Sjava is adding a special touch to Valentine’s Day for his fans with a unique and heartfelt gesture.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the musician, whose real name is Jabulani Hadebe, invited fans to share their girlfriends’ phone numbers along with a message and a song request. In return, he promised to serenade them via video call this Friday.

“Sanibonani, send me your girlfriend’s number, leave a message you want me to pass to her, and the name of the song. I will video call and sing for her. Valentine’s Special,” he wrote.

The offer sparked a mix of excitement and amusement online, with many fans finding the request hilarious. Some, however, were skeptical.

One user commented, “You just assumed we want you to sing for our girlfriends on Valentine’s Day? Abo Sjava madoda… You’re not as big as you think.”

Another added, “Lol, people really don’t trust their partners. Sjava is actually doing y’all a favor—if your person loves you, they’ll be all for this.”
