Mampintsha’s sister set to drag Moja Love over exploitation

Late kwaito star Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo’s sister, Pinky Gumede, is demanding compensation for her involvement in Wena Wodumo, a new reality show set to air on Moja Love (DStv channel 157) on March 29.

She has vowed to take legal action if her payment is not settled.

The show, produced by Thomas Gumede and Lungile Radu’s Parental Advisory Production, was initially pitched to the Gumede family while Mampintsha and their mother were still alive.

Pinky claims they were reluctant to participate but eventually agreed after Thomas promised payment.

“We shot two seasons and were underpaid. We were treated unfairly and had to fight for our money,” she alleged.

Following Mampintsha’s passing, Thomas approached them for a third season.

At first, they refused, but he convinced them, citing the well-being of Mampintsha’s child.

However, Pinky claims they never signed a contract.

“After the funeral, they vanished. Calls and messages were ignored. I felt exploited again,” she said.

Her frustration intensified after seeing the show’s trailer on social media.

“But I will not stop demanding money. I also want my mother’s money if they fail to pay me, I’ll sue them,” Pinky said.
