Mzansi shows support to MaKhumalo while dragging her husband Musa Mseleku
Musa Mseleku has found himself at the center of backlash following a controversial comment he made about his third wife, Thobile “MaKhumalo” Mseleku, on a recent episode of Uthando Nes’thembu.
The polygamist stirred up heated debate online after referring to MaKhumalo as a “failure” during a candid moment on their diary session.
The episode, which aired on Thursday, 1 May 2025, triggered emotional responses from viewers, many of whom felt that Mseleku’s words were disrespectful and publicly humiliating.
A clip from the episode was widely circulated by a user on social media, who expressed disappointment in Mseleku’s tone and questioned why such a personal judgment needed to be aired in front of a national audience.
Adding fuel to the reaction, the viewer noted that Mseleku also claimed MaKhumalo was benefiting from public exposure and professional opportunities only because she carries the “Mrs Mseleku” title.

This remark didn’t sit well with many, prompting accusations of emotional undermining and egotism.
“He said MaKhumalo is only getting all this exposure because she’s ‘Mrs Mseleku’. It says a lot about this man,” one online user wrote, pointing to what they viewed as a red flag in his treatment of his wife.
Interestingly, the controversy comes shortly after fans noticed that Thobile had seemingly removed the Mseleku surname from her Instagram profile, sparking speculation about possible strain in the marriage.
