Mmapaseka Steve Letsike not summoning Mac G to parliament

Deputy Minister in the Presidency for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities, Ms Mmapaseka Steve Letsike, MP sets the record straight after being dragged for her reaction to Mac G’s comment about Minnie Dlamini.

Social media users slammed Mmpaseka for not setting her priorities right, reminding her about the Cwecwe’s assault case.

The deputy minister previously said,  Mac G’s utterance is considered to constitute online gender- based violence, which is “any act of gender-based violence against a woman that is committed, assisted or aggravated in part or fully by the use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT).”

It was further reported that Steve will summon the Podcast and Chill host to parliament for his distasteful remark about Minnie.

However, in a recent video clip that surfaced on X, formerly known as Twitter, Letsike said she is not intending to summon Mac G to parliament.

Mmapaseka Steve Letsike said the statement released was directed to two portfolio committees.
