Nandi Madida is basking in gratitude and joy after hitting a major milestone in her broadcasting career.
The media personality recently marked her 100th episode as host of Apple Music’s Africa Now Radio, and the celebration was nothing short of touching.
Taking to Instagram, Nandi shared the heartfelt moment when her team surprised her with a beautiful bouquet and a commemorative plaque to honour her journey on the show.
What was meant to be a simple celebration of the 100th episode quickly turned into an emotional tribute to Nandi herself.
Overcome with gratitude, she wrote: “It was supposed to be a celebration of doing 100 episodes on Apple Music’s Africa Now Radio, and it ended up being a surprise celebrating me as a host for being part of those 100 episodes. I couldn’t have predicted that. I will never forget this.”
Nandi took over as the host of Africa Now Radio in 2023 and has since become a vibrant voice for African music and culture, spotlighting talent from across the continent.
Her latest episode featured none other than her husband, Grammy-winning artist Zakes Bantwini, making the milestone even more personal.
In her post, Nandi expressed heartfelt thanks to those who have supported her journey.
“I’m so overwhelmed with emotion. From the bottom of my heart, I have to thank my team at Apple Music and the guys at DNA, as well. I cannot thank you guys enough. All the artists for the love they show me, and the love I have for them, I’m forever grateful.”
South Africans have since flooded her comments with praise, applauding her dedication and the inspiring platform she has created to champion African excellence.
