Da L.E.S gives update on health

Rapper Da L.E.S has opened up once again about his recovery journey, nearly a year after suffering a life-altering stroke.

In a heartfelt new vlog, the Summer Time hitmaker offered fans a raw and inspiring glimpse into his daily life, physiotherapy sessions, and the uphill battle he’s faced since the health scare that struck him on his 39th birthday.

The near-fatal stroke, which occurred on 26 July 2024, left the musician reliant on intensive care and the support of close friends and family.

In his latest video update, Da L.E.S takes viewers inside his current rehabilitation routine in Houston, Texas, where he’s been pushing through difficult but necessary exercises with the help of a dedicated coach.

Clips show the rapper taking careful steps down a staircase, working with a robotic glove to regain hand movement, and sharing touching moments with loved ones at a dinner table, including appearances from fellow artists like L-Tido and Nasty C.

Grateful for his progress and the overwhelming support he’s received, Da L.E.S opened the vlog by thanking fans and friends who stood by him.

“We decided to put this footage out because this is real. This is something that normal people go through. No one is immune to it; it can happen to anyone. There are thousands of people whose stories need to be told, and they can do it through me.”

His powerful words and vulnerability have struck a chord with fans, many of whom continue to draw strength from his resilience.

Though the road hasn’t been easy, Da L.E.S remains focused on healing, and on using his story to uplift others going through similar battles.
