Anele Mdoda’s son Alakhe turns 10
Anele Mdoda went all out to mark her son Alakhe’s 10th birthday, taking over Johannesburg’s iconic Wanderers Stadium for an unforgettable celebration.
The broadcaster surprised him with a full-on cricket-themed bash at the venue famously nicknamed “The Bullring.”
The gathering wasn’t just a kids’ party; it was a star-studded affair.
Friends and family were joined by big names like Trevor Noah, Sizwe Dhlomo, and even former Formula 1 driver Daniel Ricciardo, all of whom feature in special moments from Alakhe’s life over the years.
When a social media user pointed out the impressive line-up of celebrities in her son’s photo collection, Mdoda replied with a playful nod to his passion: “I don’t know anyone who likes cars more than him.”
Coincidentally, the stadium had just hosted the Women’s Day concert hours earlier, with performances from Anthony Hamilton, Joe Thomas, Zonke, Sjava, and Vusi Nova.
Adding to the special day, Mdoda’s family also celebrated her father’s 70th birthday on the same Sunday, making it a double milestone for the household.
The kids insisted on singing the national anthem before the Alakhe T10 invitational match at Wanderers 😂😂❤️❤️
