Sol Phenduka says stations are calling after suspension
Just hours after Kaya 959 confirmed his immediate suspension, Sol Phenduka hinted that other stations are already knocking at his door.
The popular broadcaster, who co-hosts Siz The World with Sizwe Dhlomo and Mpho, took to X (Twitter) on Wednesday, 20 August, to reveal that radio bosses have wasted no time trying to recruit him.
“Not the Radio Program managers already calling? The ink isn’t even dry, fam,” he wrote.
Kaya 959 released a statement announcing that Sol had been sidelined while an internal investigation was underway.
“This step has been taken pending the outcome of an internal process currently underway. The station is committed to following due process, and no further details will be shared at this stage.”
The lack of clarity around his suspension has left fans speculating, but Sol’s latest post suggests that he may not be short of opportunities.
Mzansi couldn’t resist weighing in on his claims with humorous reactions.
@ChrisExcel102 joked: “So there are jobs in SA, they’re just waiting for certain people to be unemployed.”
Another user, @don_taylor, added: “See, abo Sol are immune to Ramaphosa’s high unemployment rate.”
