Rapper Blxckie has weighed in on the debate that followed after K Keed declined to freestyle during an appearance on DJ Speedsta’s radio show.
Sharing his perspective, Blxckie explained that while radio platforms are an important introduction for any artist, the choice of beat matters just as much.
“I don’t know, bro, it’s the culture and it’s a radio show and people are listening to that radio show, so it’s their first time hearing you and you need to drop some bars,” he said.
“But at the same time, it’s 2025, you’re not playing a Pro Kid beat for me to freestyle in 2025, that’s my opinion,” he added
He went on to say that younger artists gravitate more towards contemporary sounds that match their style and the audience’s expectations.
“I’d prefer a Gunna beat, for example,” Blxckie explained..
