Reason speaks about the humbling moment in his rap career
Rapper Sizwe Alakine, better known as Reason, has shared a rare story of defeat from his teenage years while reflecting on resilience in the entertainment industry.
The star was speaking about Priddy Ugly’s determination to bounce back after his much-talked-about boxing match with Cassper Nyovest.
“I respect Priddy Ugly for coming back after the fight. Taking a knock could make me feel like a lesser person. But to get back up and know yourself and go back in there…” he said.
Reason then revealed that he too had faced a humbling moment in his early career.
“I chickened out, I said this is enough. And also, I only lost one rap battle, to Sol Phenduka, even. We were in high school, I was probably 16 years old,” he confessed with a laugh.
