Makhadzi couldn’t contain her excitement after spotting Nigerian superstar Davido at the Loftus Stadium over the weekend.
The If hitmaker was making his way into the venue to perform at the Scorpion Kings Live concert when the Limpopo-born star fangirled over him.
In the moment, Makhadzi shouted one of his famous lyrics, “Money follow you,” trying to get his attention.
However, Davido appeared to ignore her as he walked past, a reaction that quickly sparked conversation online after the video went viral.
Fans on social media had mixed reactions to the clip. One X user joked, “Does she know she’s a celeb?” while another wrote, “Saw that video, she’s so real for that.”
Others found humor in the way she delivered the line.
“It’s not even what she said that’s funny, it’s the Zulu accent with which she said it… ‘money fall on you,’” one fan commented.
Another defended her, saying, “She’s just a fan, and I think he knows her too.”

Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time Makhadzi attempted to get Davido’s attention.
In 2024, the Ma Gear hitmaker recounts the many times she reached out to the Nigerian star messages in his DMs, but no response.
“I was going through my DMs. Please don’t laugh, I have been DMNG @davido @diamondplatnumz saying hello my brother can we please work on something together. And no one replies. It’s been 5 years now. Evry year I send more than 12 messages. So you are not struggling,” she wrote.
