Radio personality Penny Ntuli has spoken out after facing heavy criticism for a video of herself and a friend twerking by the side of the N3 South in Escourt, KwaZulu-Natal.
The clip, which spread widely over the weekend, left many social media users unimpressed, with some calling her actions reckless and unnecessary.
Addressing the matter in a video shared online on Wednesday, 10 September 2025, the Jozi FM presenter explained that she never meant any harm by posting the content.
“I wasn’t apologising for twerking on the road, but I wanted to clear the air and explain why we did it,” she said.
Despite her attempt to justify the video, many netizens felt her response came across as dismissive and disrespectful, sparking even more debate about her behavior.
Ntuli, who previously made headlines for voicing frustrations about being underpaid at Gagasi FM, insisted that the roadside dance was meant to be lighthearted fun.
Still, the backlash shows that not everyone is buying into her explanation.
