Emtee calls out agency over fraudulent act
Rapper Emtee has gone on a fiery rant after discovering that scammers have been impersonating him and taking bookings under his name.
The star took to social media to expose the situation after a public apology was issued, clarifying that he is not affiliated with any of the people or organisations claiming to represent him.
In his post, Emtee made it clear he has nothing to do with the alleged promoters and warned fans and event organisers to be cautious.
“I’m not associated with these scamming ass, wanna be me so bad they dress like me and claim they know me. I don’t know y’all niggas, I don’t f*** with y’all, I’m not ‘associated’ with any of this bullshit,” he wrote.
The Roll Up hitmaker went on to express his frustration over being blamed for shows he was never booked for, saying, “DO NOT BOOK ME THRU THESE SONS OF BITCHES then come threaten me ’cos I didn’t pitch for a show I know nothing about and y’all pussy for giving someone the money but I’m expected to come and perform like Michael Jackson. Msunu yenu! Dala what u must. Let’s go to war about this shit.”
Emtee’s outburst sparked major discussion online, with many fans showing support and others urging him to take legal action against those using his name for fraudulent activities.
