Euphonik warns fans about fake bookings: “I hardly take gigs in SA”

Euphonik calls out fake event promoters using his name
South African DJ and music producer Euphonik has raised the alarm over fake event organisers using his name and image to promote bogus shows.
The star took to X (formerly Twitter) to expose a fraudulent flyer advertising an event he had no involvement in.
Sharing the image of the flyer, Euphonik wrote: “This is funny 🤣 I hardly take bookings in SA and this is not one of them. Be safe out there. 🫡”
His post quickly caught attention online, with fans flooding the comments section — some expressing concern about the scam, while others took playful jabs at his remark about “hardly taking bookings” locally.
One follower claimed to have encountered similar fraudulent claims, commenting: “This company claimed to be your agency and they sponsored the owner with your set. They even have you on their website and their artist.”
Others responded with humor, poking fun at the DJ’s statement.
“Wow listen to that flexing, ‘I hardly take local bookings,’” one user joked, followed by a string of laughing emojis.
Another added a note of caution mixed with shade: “If you see Euphonik on a banner, it’s a scam. He goes by the name ‘Themba’ nowadays. [Apparently] he rebranded after some controversial allegations.”
Of course, not everyone was sympathetic, as one user quipped: “It’s not that you don’t take bookings in SA, nobody books you.”
