A second victim involved in the car accident that left Limpopo singer Kharishma seriously injured has reportedly died, deepening the tragedy surrounding the late-October collision in Polokwane.

Kharishma, real name Melita Magole, was travelling with her colleagues on 31 October when their hatchback collided with a bakkie at the intersection of Grobler and Magazyn streets.

Both Kharishma and another passenger were rushed to hospital with severe injuries.

According to a report by Daily Sun, that second passenger, also a local artist and student, has now died at Pietersburg Hospital.

The Limpopo Artists Movement confirmed the passing on Saturday, 15 November.

Maphopha, who was a respected keyboard player and a final-year BSc student, was laid to rest in his hometown of Groblersdal on 9 November.

His funeral was attended by the MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture, Funani Maseko, along with several members of the Limpopo Artists Movement, led by Mphoza Mashabela.
