Nandipha Magudumana’s estranged husband, Mkhuseli, has once again made headlines after the celebrity doctor appeared wearing her wedding ring during a recent court appearance.

Mkhuseli has largely stayed out of the public eye since distancing himself from Nandipha following her arrest, which came after her controversial dealings with Thabo Bester surfaced in April 2023.

The sight of Magudumana wearing her ring again sparked curiosity online, as many wondered whether the couple’s separation had changed, despite Nandipha revealing during her 2024 bail application that they had parted ways.

Reports indicate that while the couple divorced in 2022 according to some sources, they remain legally married, with Mkhuseli continuing to avoid the spotlight.

In a Netflix docuseries covering Nandipha and Bester’s scandal, Mkhuseli opened up about the strain the situation has placed on his family.

“I don’t know this Nandi. She is not the same person I married or loved,” he said, reflecting on the dramatic shift in his wife’s behaviour.

He also shared a poignant memory of their last encounter: the last time their children saw Nandipha was when she dropped them off at school in 2023.

Nandipha’s brother also commented on the situation during the docuseries, revealing that he reached out to Mkhuseli to check on him and the kids.

“I called Nandipha’s husband and asked, ‘How are you doing? How are the kids doing? How do you feel?’ He said he doesn’t know this Nandipha. This is not the Nandipha he married, who is the mother of his kids. Something that he can’t explain got hold of Nandipha. And at least tell his kids, ‘Mommy has got questions to answer,’” he recounted.
