South African comedian and media personality Felix Hlophe has seemingly taken a major step in his personal life after reports emerged that he has rekindled his relationship with his former girlfriend, Ayanda Bhengu, and officially welcomed her into his family.

According to information circulating online, the radio and TV host has allegedly paid lobola for Bhengu, effectively making her his second wife.

Footage believed to be from the traditional lobola ceremony surfaced on X on 18 December 2025, shared by a user identified as JabulaniL2023.

The clips offered a glimpse into the celebrations, showing a delegation from Hlophe’s family gathered for the negotiations, with an elegant setup and a generous spread of food marking the occasion.

In the videos, the couple appeared relaxed and happy as they celebrated with loved ones, while Bhengu was seen kneeling and serving Hlophe a tray of food in a moment that symbolised her formal welcome into the family.

The news has reignited public interest in the couple’s complicated history.

Bhengu, who is a mother of two boys, previously featured on Hlophe’s reality show, Life with Felix Hlophe, where their turbulent relationship played out on screen.

At the time, she ended the romance just before lobola could be paid, describing the polygamous arrangement as “toxic” and citing repeated drama and conflict as reasons for stepping away to prioritise her children.

Hlophe, who is already married with six children, has often been open about his desire to build a polygamous family.

The latest developments suggest that, despite their past challenges, he and Bhengu have found their way back to each other.

However, news of the ceremony has sparked heated debate online, with social media users divided over the relationship and its dynamics.
