DJ Sbu celebrates Spotify and YouTube milestones

Veteran South African DJ and entrepreneur DJ Sbu is celebrating a major milestone after his latest music releases delivered strong growth across streaming platforms.

Sharing the update on social media, the music executive thanked supporters for backing his new projects and revealed a sharp increase in his listener numbers over the past month.

“Thank you very much to everyone who’s been supporting my new projects. We just doubled our @Spotify monthly listeners from 103K to 201K in the last month since the new music has been out,” DJ Sbu wrote.

The momentum has also carried over to YouTube Music, where his audience has expanded rapidly in a short space of time.

“We have also added 100k new @YouTube Music monthly listeners from 213K to 321K in the past month,” he added.

DJ Sbu went on to express appreciation for both longtime supporters and new fans, welcoming them into what he described as a growing community built around his music.

“Thank you very much guys, we welcome you to the community. I appreciate the support,” he said.

Looking ahead, the DJ promised a renewed level of consistency, assuring fans that he plans to release new music regularly in the coming year.

“I promise to not neglect you ever again. In the new year I’ll be dropping every month to make sure I never starve of good music ever again. Yours in music,” DJ Sbu concluded.
