Hairstylist Snenhlanhla Mthembu alleges months of abuse and pleads for help on social media

South African hairstylist and entrepreneur Snenhlanhla Mthembu has taken to social media to allege that she has been physically abused for months by her boyfriend, Andile Junior (24).

The Durban-based businesswoman shared a series of emotional Instagram stories detailing her ordeal, alongside images of injuries she claims were sustained during the alleged abuse.

In one post, she described her public appeal as a last resort after repeated attempts to seek help through official channels.

“This is my final attempt for a call for help and try and arrest this monster who has been abusing me physically from the day we started dating,” she wrote.

Snenhlanhla further claimed that she has opened multiple cases at the police station, but alleges that no action has been taken. According to her, the situation has left her feeling unprotected and unheard.

“I’ve opened four cases with fail because no police gets near him and of course his father will bribe his way out, but today I’ve had enough,” she said, adding, “Nizokholwa when he kills me? How do we explain four case numbers?”

The hairstylist also addressed speculation surrounding her public outcry, insisting that she is not seeking attention but is instead desperate for protection.

She revealed that she often hides the truth from clients, fabricating explanations when visible injuries raise questions.

Reports further indicate that the 31-year-old is currently receiving medical treatment following an incident in which Andile’s car was allegedly set alight.

Once discharged from hospital, Snenhlanhla is expected to be arrested on charges of assault and malicious damage to property.
