Nasty C reveals he’s been struggling for the past three months

Nasty C opens up about his struggles

South African rapper Nasty C has left many fans concerned after opening up about a difficult period in his personal life, revealing that he has been struggling emotionally over the past few months.

The award-winning artist shared the update in a candid video posted on his Instagram account.

Speaking directly to his followers, the rapper admitted that he has not been in the right mental space to create the kind of upbeat content fans are used to seeing from him.

“I haven’t been in the right headspace to make any kind of cool, happy content because I have not been happy. I’ve been going through it. I’ve been just in the pits for the past couple of months, man, since December. December, Jan, Feb,” he said.

Despite the emotional challenges, the Zulu Man With Some Power hitmaker stressed that the issues he is dealing with are strictly personal and have nothing to do with his music or professional life.

“March is also coming with its own things, you know what I mean? I’m just going through it, man. But it’s only on the personal side, OK? You don’t have to worry about anything Nasty C-related. This is just me that’s going through all this,” he clarified.

Because of what he described as a heavy emotional period, the rapper explained that he has struggled to keep up with the usual entertaining and motivational content he often shares with fans online.

“I was supposed to continue with the motion and keep that momentum up, but I just can’t. I’m a human being. This is one of those human-to-human videos right now. I can’t be an entertainer for you right now. I can’t dance for you, can’t be funny. I can’t even motivate you right now. I need all that stuff. You understand?” he added.

Although his confession sparked concern among fans, Nasty C made it clear that he was not seeking sympathy or emotional messages from supporters.

Instead, he asked them to show support for his work.

“I’m not asking for you, for your I’m sorries or I love yous and all that stuff. I don’t want none of that stuff. Please, please, please, please. Thank you,” he said, urging fans to pre-save the deluxe edition of his first full-length album released as an independent artist.
