Mpumelelo Mseleku says he won’t marry Tirelo Kale anymore

Reality TV personality Mpumelelo Mseleku has stirred intense debate after openly admitting that he no longer sees a future with his partner, Tirelo Kale, despite the two sharing a child.

During a recent episode of Izingane Zez’Thembu, Mpumelelo made the revelation in a conversation with his father, Musa Mseleku, where he addressed the state of his relationship.

“I don’t see us getting married,” he said plainly.

Explaining his stance, Mpumelelo pointed to what he described as boundary issues within his family dynamic.

According to him, Tirelo had grown too comfortable around his relatives, something he believes crossed a line. He recalled an incident that raised concerns for him, saying, “She once came home intoxicated. They went out together (gestures at siblings), and she told me that she took a sip from Sne’s glass. I confronted Sne and said I would tell Dad, and that’s when the truth came out that she did drink.”

For Mpumelelo, the issue goes beyond a single moment.

He stressed that Tirelo needed to understand her position within the household, adding that her closeness with his siblings had become a problem.

“She’s only here to build the home. It’s a problem now that she’s started galavanting with my siblings,” he said.

His comments have raised eyebrows, especially given that he had previously proposed to her.

However, he now suggests that her behaviour has shifted his perspective, particularly as he places strong emphasis on tradition and family structure.

The situation is further complicated by earlier resistance from Tirelo’s family, who reportedly opposed the idea of marriage, arguing that she should focus on completing her education and building her career first.

Meanwhile, Mpumelelo has since taken steps forward in his personal life, having paid lobola for another partner, Ayanda Biyela, with whom he welcomed a child in early 2026.

Following the episode, social media erupted with mixed reactions.

While some criticised Mpumelelo for his remarks and how he spoke about the mother of his child, others expressed relief that Tirelo had moved on, suggesting the relationship may have been better off ending.
