Tyla nominated for World Artist of the Year at 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards
South African singer Tyla is back in the spotlight as she earns a nomination for World Artist of the Year at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
The announcement comes after her triumph in the same category last year, cementing her status as one of Mzansi’s most celebrated musical exports.
The iHeartRadio Music Awards return to Hollywood tonight at the iconic Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, with Ludacris hosting this year’s star-studded ceremony.
Broadcasting live on FOX, the show celebrates the most-played music across iHeartMedia radio stations and digital platforms nationwide, while giving fans a chance to vote in categories like Favorite Debut Album, Best Music Video, Favorite TikTok Dance, and more.
Tyla is in the running alongside global sensations including Ayra Starr, Jackson Wang, JO1, and Moliy, highlighting her growing influence on the international stage.
The award recognises artists whose music has resonated worldwide and reflects her continued rise in global popularity.
This year’s ceremony also features special honors, with Miley Cyrus accepting the iHeartRadio Innovator Award, Ludacris receiving the Landmark Award, and John Mellencamp earning the Icon Award ahead of his upcoming tour.
Live performances will include Taylor Swift, Kehlani, Lainey Wilson, Alex Warren, RAYE, and a historic collaboration from TLC, Salt-N-Pepa, and En Vogue.
For Tyla, this nomination is another milestone in a career that has already seen her claim last year’s World Artist of the Year award, proving that her music continues to captivate fans both at home and around the globe.
The 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards air live on FOX tonight, March 26, at 8:00 PM ET/7:00 PM CT, where winners in all categories will be announced.
