Musa Khawula refuses to apologise to Julius Malema amid legal drama

Musa Khawula says he will not apologise to Julius Malema over marriage claims

Controversial blogger Musa Khawula has escalated tensions with Julius Malema after refusing to apologise over his earlier claims about the politician’s marriage.

In the tweet, Khawula directly addressed Malema, stating that he would not be issuing any apology and stood by his assertions that the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader’s marriage was allegedly over.

He further claimed that sources close to Malema had confirmed the alleged separation and impending divorce.

The post comes shortly after Khawula was served with a letter of demand from attorneys representing Malema and his wife, Mantwa Matlala.

The letter, dated 26 February and issued by England Slabbert Attorneys Inc., accuses the blogger of making defamatory statements regarding the couple’s marriage.

According to the legal representatives, Khawula published a series of posts alleging infidelity and marital instability, presenting unverified claims as facts.

The couple argues that these statements have caused reputational damage and subjected them and their family to public ridicule.

The legal team has threatened civil action seeking damages of up to R1 million, while also pursuing criminal charges of crimen injuria.

They maintain that Malema’s marriage remains stable, with no ongoing divorce proceedings or related legal processes.

Despite the mounting legal pressure, Khawula appears unshaken, using his latest tweet to reaffirm his stance and dismiss expectations of a retraction.
