Rosemary Ndlovu found guilty in another murder-for-hire case
Convicted serial killer and former police officer Rosemary Ndlovu has been found guilty in yet another criminal case, this time linked to an alleged murder-for-hire plot involving a multimillion-rand insurance payout.
Ndlovu appeared before the Kempton Park Regional Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 20 May 2026, alongside her co-accused, Nomsa Mudau, where judgment was handed down after a lengthy court process.
The court convicted both women of conspiracy to commit murder and incitement to commit murder in connection with a plot targeting Mudau’s former husband, Justice Mudau, in 2018.
During proceedings, the court heard that the pair allegedly planned to have Justice Mudau killed in order to cash in on a life insurance policy reportedly worth around R3 million.
Evidence presented in court claimed that approximately R150,000 had allegedly been offered to hitmen to carry out the murder.
However, the alleged plan never materialised after one of the people approached to execute the killing warned the intended victim instead, ultimately exposing the scheme before any attack could happen.
Both Ndlovu and Mudau had pleaded not guilty to the charges throughout the trial. Despite their pleas, the court found there was enough evidence to secure convictions against the two accused.
The latest guilty verdict adds to Ndlovu’s already notorious criminal record.
The former police officer is currently serving multiple life sentences after previously being convicted of orchestrating the killings of six family members and relatives in cases linked to insurance claims.
Sentencing proceedings in the latest case are expected to take place at a later stage.
