Three Sangomas have been reported to have drowned in a river during an initiation ceremony.
The initiation ceremony held over the weekend in the Mbokodweni River in the Folweni area, south of Durban.
According to Metro police spokesperson senior superintendent, Parboo Sewpersad, SAPS together with members from metro police search and rescue were called to the scene where two women and a man drowned on Saturday.
