Nomcebo has revealed that her mom is the reason why she writes soulful songs.
The star has been all over social media following the song she did with Master KG, “Jerusalema”.
The song has helped her grow a lot as she recently revealed she almost gave up on music.
The mother of two has been in the music industry for 15 years.
Nomcebo said she has been a back up singer during that period for ahara, Nhlanhla Nciza, Deborah Fraser and Lundi Tyamara.
According to Nomcebo, she said she wanted more for her music career but none was forth coming and she made up her mind she was going to stop.
She said it was Master KG who offered her a lifeline with their smash hit Jerusalema.
Even after the single, she still dropped another one with Master KG titled, “Xola Moya Wam” which has gone gold.
Well, many have tagged her a “one-hit singer” but Nomcebo did not let this weigh her down as she continues to secure the bags.
In her post, she was pictured with her mom as she appreciates her mom for being there for her and she is the only reason she writes soulful songs.
