Mass shooting that happened on Wednesday in Khayelitsha community have left residents in fair and despair.
The senseless shooting claimed six people’s lives.
It was reported that unidentified gunmen stormed into a house in Solomon Tshuku Street in Site C on Wednesday and opened fire on the victims.
Six men were shot dead and four others were wounded as a result of the mass shooting.
The reason for that brutal killing is not known yet and the attackers have not yet been identified.
The Western Cape Community Safety MEC Albert Fritz said he was notified of the incident after he attended the memorial service of the top slain police detective Charl Kinnear in Belhar.
Fritz was displeased with the incident.
“We are calling on the South African Police Service to do everything in their power to arrest the perpetrators as quickly as possible so that we can have a proper investigation and conviction in this case, and to put them behind bars for as long as possible.”
