A 26-year old man who was reported to be linked with the murder of a 14-year old girl is expected to come before the Parys Magistrate Court on Monday.
Earlier this month, the teenager was last seen at her home in Tumahole and after she disappeared, she was declared missing.
Her uncle mentioned that the teenager went to stay over at one of her friends’ place. Although, the preliminary investigations of the police reported that the victim was last seen with the suspect.
However, her body was found in a grassland covered by a pile of rocks, which was close to her house.
The police’s Motantsi Makhele said:
“Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased was last seen with her boyfriend and her body was discovered in an open veld, covered in a huge pile of rocks about one kilometre away from her home. A case of murder was registered and her boyfriend was subsequently arrested and a post-mortem will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.”
