Court has postponed the case against self-proclaimed Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary.

The money laundering case has been postponed to Friday.

Magistrate Thandi Thelede disclosed to the court that she will be unavailable on the other days of this week.

Magistrate Thelede also indicated that the large numbers of people outside the court on Monday did not follow the social distancing rule.

She said she cannot afford to have that large crowds outside without having sufficient time to attend to the matter.

The matter was postponed to later this week.

The Bushiri couple and a third-accused, Landiwe Ntlokoane, are currently facing charges of fraud, theft and money laundering of over R100-million.

They were arrested last week.

Mary Bushiri was arrested by the Hawks while her husband and Ntlokoane handed themselves over.

The trio will remain custody until Friday.
