South Africans are set to listen to Finance Minister Tito Mboweni’s Medium-Term Budget Policy Statement that will revive the difficult economic backdrop, which became worse as a result of the covid-19 pandemic.
However, analysts are of the opinion that Mboweni will find it difficult to deliver a budget that is both financially prudent and growth-enhancing at the same time.
However, analysts say the Finance Minister could hint at potential wealth taxes even though tax policy can be adjusted in the February Budget.
