Khaya Mthethwa who is a pastor at Oasis Church in Umlazi, south of Durban opens up about the struggles and shame experienced after divorcing his wife, former Miss SA Ntandoyenkosi Kunene.
The two got married in 2017, welcomed the birth of a baby boy, and in 2019, they divorced.
Speaking of the struggles experienced on YFM radio interview, Khaya said he had alcohol problems, as he was trying to subdue the pain, some persons questioned him for divorcing as a Christian.
“I’ve been through that shame of being asked, ‘How can you leave your wife and proclaim you are a Christian?’
I’ve been through that shame, I’ve been through that pain. I know what that feels like,” he said.
Khaya said he’s at a different phase now, as he’s reviving himself, and growing himself to be a better man.
