Heavy K has his wife Ntombi Nguse’s musical support for the past 2 years. But he wants his wife to have her own identity in music as he declared that her sound is different from his’.
Heavy told TshishaLIVE how supporting his wife has being and how he’s being able to help her through her music career. These are few things he shared.
“I’ve been working on Ntombi’s project. I’ve actually been featuring her on my music for over two years. We’ve been doing album songs, hence she didn’t really blow up initially because her vibe is different from mine and I don’t want people to box her into the Heavy K sound. We want her to have her own identity in music. She has a very soulful and jazz sound.”
“I am aware that the industry has a lot of challenges. I always tell her that she must be mentally ready for it. When you get into this industry, you tell yourself you won’t do these funny things but it takes a lot of discipline for you to remain true to who you are. It is overwhelming when you meet your idols and they introduce you to bad habits.”
